Welcome to TCU’s Horned Frog Scholar Search homepage!

TCU awards more than 4 million in merit-based and need-based scholarships each academic year through the generosity of alumni and private donors.

  • Who should apply: current students who plan to return in 2026-2027 for their undergraduate or graduate degree and admitted incoming students for 2026-2027.
  • Criteria is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to: donor-stipulated criteria, demonstrated academic success, financial need.
  • Amounts and deadlines vary.
  • Scholarships are for tuition only; a few exceptions may apply (ex. Internship Scholarships).
  • Students already having a scholarship covering tuition in full, may not be eligible for additional tuition scholarships thru this portal.
  • When combined with federal and state aid, scholarships may not exceed the value of a full-tuition award.
  • Scholarships are one-time and non-renewable.
  • Notifications are sent to recipients only between the months of May and October.
  • Students may apply annually for the next academic year. (Example: February 2025 for the 2026-2027 academic year)

    b) Log In using your TCU Single Sign-On user name and password
    c) Complete the General Scholarship Application
    d) Complete the FAFSA or TASFA for consideration of need-based scholarships.

2) STEP TWO: Apply for Additional Scholarships

  • INSTRUCTIONS (After signing in and completing the General Scholarship Application instructions above):
    a) Click “Apply” in the Action column below for additional applications recommended by the system
    b) Carefully read the scholarship eligibility requirements (e.g., major, GPA, enrollment requirement to receive the scholarship, other requirements as stated) and questions to determine your eligibility before completing the recommended scholarships.

NEXT STEPS
Need-based scholarships require completion of the FAFSA (https://studentaid.gov) or TASFA in order to determine eligibility. Make sure to complete the 2026-2027 FAFSA or TASFA as soon as possible to avoid being excluded from the need-based opportunities. Students selected for verification process must submit all “Requested Information” in the myTCU portal in order for their General Scholarship Application to be considered complete.

After completing both of the TWO STEPS above, students can follow their application status on their dashboard by selecting “My Applications” above. All scholarships and grants are subject to conditions as stated in TCU’s Undergraduate Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy. Any awarded scholarship is contingent upon your meeting requirements set forth in the policy that can be found in the University catalog.

Please Note: Students should continue to apply for scholarships advertised by departments and campus organizations. If students have questions concerning the below opportunities, they should contact the Office of Scholarships and Student Financial Aid (finaid@tcu.edu).
